Extra first character (BOM?) in html minified output

Nov 25, 2015 at 7:23 PM
I'm using the MVC attribute which is working nicely apart from an extra first character in the generated content - it looks like it might be a UTF8 BOM - and it causes Chrome to interpret the HTML incorrectly (everything in the <head> shows in the <body> in inspect element), causes my content to shift down about 20 pixels (as though the character is being seen as body content). The character shows in the Chrome developer inspect element tools as and in the raw response it looks as though it is actually the first character (before <!DOCTYPE html>).

Before I start picking things apart I'm wondering if this rings any bells?

I'm having the same issue, so I can't use the minifier currently. Does anyone working on a bug fix for this?

Just now I found out about this discussion, because notification about first message did not come. In recent times, often caused similar problems on CodePlex.

Tell me the version number of WebMarkupMin?
Could you send an example of source and destination files.

Try to upgrade to version 1.0.1 or 2.0.0 RC 2.
